The Mississippi last will and testament, also known as a will, is a legal document that details the testator’s wishes regarding the distribution of their assets, the upbringing of their children, and other matters after their passing. Mississippi Will Age Requirements

Age Requirements: Every person eighteen (18) years of age or older, being of sound and disposing mind may make a last will and testament or codicil. 1

Mississippi Will Signing Requirements

Will Signing Requirements: The will must be signed by the testator or testatrix, or by some other person in his or her presence and by his or her express direction.

Mississippi Will Witness Requirements

Will Witnessing Requirements: The will must be attested (signed) by two (2) or more credible witnesses in the presence of the testator or testatrix

Revoking A Mississippi Will

The will must be revoked by the testator or testatrix destroying, canceling, or obliterating the same, or causing it to be done in his or her presence, or by subsequent will, codicil, or declaration, in writing, made and executed in the same manner as when the will was created.
